Maharana Pratap Jayanti 2017:-

Maharana Pratap was a king of Mewar in Rajasthan, SisodiyaIndia.He was a Hindu Rajput King and Pratap belonged Sisodia clan of Rajputs.

Maharana Pratap was the son of Udai Singh II (King of Mewar) and his mother Maharani Jaiwanta Bai.

 Maharana Pratap's birth anniversary, known as Maharana Pratap Jayanti, is celebrated annually on the third day of the Jyeshta Shukla phase. He was the eldest son of Maharani Jaiwanta Bai and Udai Singh.

Maharana Pratap is revered and worshipped by many royal families in Rajasthan for his bravery and courage.

Many methodology about maharana pratap birth but as per historical records, Maharana Pratap was born on May 9th, 1540 according to Julian calendar. Julian calendar is obsolete and it has been replaced by Gregorian calendar. According to Proleptic Gregorian calendar Maharana Pratap was born on May 19th 1540.

Maharana Pratap is best known for Battle of Haldighati against Mughal emperor Akbar to defend his kingdom.
